As preoperative conditions are different depending on the surgeon, here I present you some points that are important in my work for Rhinoplasty (nose cosmetic surgery) and this shall not necessarily reject the work of any other surgeon and just reveals my method and approach for doing Rhinoplasty.
All the surgeries will be done in Yas Sepid Hospital. (For its Qualified Anesthesiologist team)
Nearly all the surgeries will be done under general anesthesia.
CBC , HIV and Hepatitis tests are necessary for abroad patients and for people older than 45, heart check is also necessary .
Surgery time is between 60 to 90 minutes.
Most of the patients will be released from the hospital within 2 or 3.5 hours after the surgery.
All the patients are required to prepare medical photos of their face and nose in special medial photographic.
Nose/Sinuses Radiography or CT-Scan is not required as they don’t provide any further information for the surgeon required for a Rhinoplasty. CT-Scan is only necessary for below cases:
Bruises (bluish discoloration) are visible in the second day of the surgery and they may last 5 to 10 days but there won’t be any severe bruising.
Nasal Tampon will be removed 3 hours after the surgery. Only in less than 5% of the patients (who may have bleeding disorders) the tampon will stay inside the nose and it will be removed after 2 days. The nasal tampon swells and fills the nasal cavity and applies pressure over the bleeding point.
For patients with Septal Deviation, a film is used to hold the nose bridge for 5-7 days after Rhinoplasty.
My Rhinoplasty approach is Closed. It means that I don’t cut the middle parts of the nose.
In the closed method the cutting will be done from inside of the nose.
The satisfaction of the patients is based on the experience I have in the nose job.
It is suggested to use nose tapes for at least four weeks after Rhinoplasty (nose surgery).
